Los Angeles-based Primitive Skateboarding quietly rolled out their Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba collection at select retailers in Canada.
An Inosuke Hashibira deck inspired by Californian Franky Villani was spotted on display at a Zumiez store in Delta’s Tsawwassen Mills mall over the weekend.
According to the Zumiez Canada web site, five designs are available: Paul Rodriguez’s Tanjiro Kamado, Robert Neal’s Nezuko Kamado, Miles Silvas’ Zenitsu Agatsuma, Franky Villani’s Inosuke Hashibira, and the Primitive Team’s Giyuu Tomioka and Tanjiro Kamado. The official Primitive web site and social media channels has made no mention of these items which is unusual for the brand.
The decks are priced at $99.95 CAD and do not include trucks, wheels or bearings.
In Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, teenage Tanjiro Kamado and his sister Nezuko survive the slaughter of their family at the hands of demon Muzan Kibutsuji. Vowing to take revenge and return Nezuko to her human form, Tanjiro joins the Demon Slayer Corps in partnership with the panicky Zenitsu Agatsuma and the boar-masked Inosuke Hashibira, in a quest to hunt down and defeat Muzan once and for all.
Primitive Skateboarding has previously collaborated with other big anime series including Naruto Shippuden, Dragon Ball Super, Sailor Moon and, My Hero Academia.
