Japanese fast fashion retailer Uniqlo has released four t-shirts as part of their UT line-up to celebrate the work of acclaimed filmmaker and animator Makoto Shinkai ahead of his next film Suzume no Tojimari.

Four shirts bear artwork from the movies Your Name, Weathering with You, and Suzume no Tojimari in sizes from extra-extra-small to extra-extra-large at $29.90 CAD apiece.

Shinkai’s work is noted for the fantastical and emotional stories from everyday interactions weaved with fluid animation and stunning music that have captivated audiences worldwide.

Suzume is just your average 17-year-old student, but when a stranger enlists her help to find a door on her home island of Kyushu, everything changes. Random doors around Japan become portals where chaos seeps into the world and Suzume must shut them at all costs.

Suzume no Tojimari will premiere in Japan on November 11th, 2022 followed by an international screening sometime in 2023.

Uniqlo regularly works with Japanese and international pop culture icons to create simple and practical tops under their UT brand. Recently, the company unveiled tees in conjunction with the shonen movie One Piece Film: Red.
