As the Naruto anime celebrated its 20th anniversary last October, Studio Pierrot has released a handful of videos on YouTube to commemorate this milestone, with the latest one revisiting a tender scene of Kakashi Hatake and his father.

The video, an ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) designed to invoke a feeling of relaxation and indicated by the tingling of the skin on the back of the head, is an hour of Kakashi sitting with his father Sakumo Hatake by a campfire. There’s no speaking, no sounds other than the gentle crackling of the flames. The scene appears in the 159th episode of Naruto: Shippuden titled “Pain vs Kakashi” where Kakashi is briefly reunited with his father in limbo.

ASMR videos are popular on platforms like YouTube and TikTok, used when viewers need a comforting sound to concentrate or unwind after a stressful day. The lengthy videos contain soothing sounds, often of nature, people performing tasks such as repairing broken objects, or in this case, two anime characters sharing a quite moment by a fire.
