Crunchyroll adds more anime movies to its platform for April 2023

Seven films are coming to Crunchyroll this month, where fans can look forward to flicks that were shown in North American theatres in addition to some Japan-only releases.

On Thursday, April 20th, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime The Movie: Scarlet Bond, To Every You I’ve Loved Before, and To Me, The One Who Loved You become available. Then, following on Thursday, April 27th, are The Quintessential Quintuplets Movie, Mobile Suit Gundam Cucuruz Doan’s Island, Free! -the Final Stroke- Part 1, and Free! -the Final Stroke- Part 2.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime The Movie: Scarlet Bond

West of Tempest is the small kingdom of Raja where gold mining powered the local economy, but ended once the land became poisoned. The Queen used her power stave off the poison at her own expense. After dying and being reincarnated into a slime, Rimuru Tempest encounters Hiiro, the last of the Ogres, and partner together to find out what really happened in Raja and unravel its mysteries.

To Every You I’ve Loved Before

Following his parents divorce, Koyomi Takasaki has trouble making new friends, this is until he meets Kazune Takigawa. The catch is, they’ve met before, but in another dimension called World Line 85. Transitioning between worlds is a normal thing, but it leads Koyomi questioning if he’s from a parallel universe instead.

To Me, The One Who Loved You

Falling in love at a research lab, Koyomi Hidaka and Shiori Sato break away from their parents after they, too, fall in love. Their plan is to escape to an alternate dimension to sidestep becoming stepsiblings, but travelling through dimensions has its consequences…

Mobile Suit Gundam Cucuruz Doan’s Island

The movie adapts the 15th episode of the 1979 anime series Mobile Suit Gundam following the events at Jaburo. The Earth Federation Forces orders White Base to change course after resupplying to make a stop at a supposedly deserted island patrolled by a rogue Zaku unit. Can Amuro Ray regain control of his Gundam and learn more about this island and its inhabitants?

Free! -the Final Stroke- Part 1

Representing Japan at the Swimming World Cup, Haruka, Rin and Ikuya find themselves up against the best competitors that will push their abilities to the limit.

Free! -the Final Stroke- Part 2

Caught up by Albert’s intense method of swimming, Haruka begins to question his abilities and his reasoning for entering aquatics. Consumed by this, it might mean the end of swimming for Haruka.
