My Hero Academia: Vigilantes season two

New trailer revealed ahead of second season premiere for My Hero Academia: Vigilantes

It was confirmed earlier this evening that the second season premiere of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is scheduled for 10:00 pm JST on Monday, January 5th, 2026, according to the official Twitter/X account for the anime, which also included a new trailer.

Revealed in the video is the opening theme “CATCH” performed by singer-songwriter Surii; the song “Miss You” by three-piece rock band Shytaupe will play over the closing credits.

Streaming of the new episodes will follow the televised broadcast in Japan.

Crunchyroll, which is licensed to stream the series outside of Asia, describes the first season of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes as:

Koichi Haimawari is a dull college student who aspires to be a hero but has given up on his dream. Although 80% of the world’s population has superhuman powers called Quirks, few are chosen to become heroes and protect people. Everything changes for Koichi when he and Pop☆Step are saved by the vigilante Knuckleduster and get recruited to become vigilantes themselves!

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is a prequel manga to Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia, written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and illustrated by Betten Court. It was originally serialized in Jump Giga before moving to Shonen Jump+, running from August 20th, 2016, to May 28th, 2022. In North America, VIZ Media publishes the English translation in both print and digital formats. An anime adaptation was produced by Bones Films; the first season debut on April 7th, 2025, and was streamed outside of Asia on Crunchyroll.
