The Forgers are back: SPY×FAMILY season 3 hits Crunchyroll this October

A new teaser heralding the return of SPY×FAMILY was released, with the third season streaming globally outside of Asia on Crunchyroll starting Saturday, October 4th, 2025. New episodes will air weekly thereafter, following the Japanese broadcast.

A snippet of the ending theme “Actor” by singer-songwriter Lilas Ikuta is featured in the video. Sometimes known simply as Lilas, she also has partnered with musician and producer Ayase to form J-pop duo Yoasobi. Her debut studio album Sketch was released on March 8th, 2023, with her work appearing in The Apothecary Diaries, Honkai: Star Rail, and League of Legends.

Crunchyroll provided a synopsis of SPY×FAMILY in a press release:

World peace is at stake and secret agent (aka Loid Forger) must undergo his most difficult mission yet—pretend to be a family man. Posing as a loving husband and father, he’ll infiltrate an elite school to get close to a high-profile politician. He has the perfect cover, except his wife’s a deadly assassin and neither knows each other’s identity. But someone does, his adopted daughter who’s a telepath.

SPY×FAMILY is an adaptation of the manga of the same name by Tatsuya Endo which is serialized in Shueisha’s online platform Shonen Jump+ in Japan and by VIZ Media in North America. It is also available on the MANGA Plus app. The first two seasons of the anime currently stream on Crunchyroll globally outside of Asia.
