Third season of DAN DA DAN anime confirmed

A third season of DAN DA DAN is in development, according to the studio behind the hit supernatural comedy anime series.

Science SARU made the announcement on their social media accounts which included a new illustration of main characters Okarun, Turbo Granny, and Momo Ayase.

Details of when season three would premiere was not provided.

The final episode of the second season aired on Thursday, September 18th, 2025.

DAN DA DAN is described in detail through an official synopsis:

DAN DA DAN follows Momo, a high school girl from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an occult freak. The two of them start talking after Momo rescues Okarun from getting bullied. However, an argument ensues between them – Momo believes in ghosts but denies aliens, and Okarun believes in aliens but denies ghosts. To make the mutual deniers believe in each other, Momo goes to an abandoned hospital known for its UFO sightings, and Okarun goes to a tunnel that is said to be haunted. In each place, they encounter overwhelming paranormal activity that transcends comprehension. Amid these predicaments, Momo awakens her hidden power and Okarun gains the power of a curse to challenge the paranormal forces! Their fateful love begins as well!?

The story of the occult battle and adolescence starts!

Written and illustrated by Yukinobu Tatsu, serialization of DAN DA DAN began in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ on April 6th, 2021, where it accumulated over 370 million views, followed by 3.2 million printed copies. In North America, VIZ Media handles the English-translated edition in both print and digital formats. The first season of an anime adaptation aired on October 4th, 2024, followed by a second on July 4, 2025; both are stream on Crunchyroll and Netflix here in Canada.
