Anime streaming giant Crunchyroll is expanding its partnerships to share the medium with more people than ever. Expanding on the Crunchyroll app’s availability introduction last year, Samsung Electronics now offers a dedicated 24/7 anime channel on supported smart TVs.
Launching the new channel are Yu Yu Hakusho, Assassination Classroom, Black Clover, and To Your Eternity. Enjoy shows with English subtitles and dubbed, themes and special programming blocks as more content is added. Crunchyroll is also adding full episodes of their flagship podcast The Anime Effect.
The Crunchyroll app was first announced on Samsung Smart TVs in 2024 and is available on displays from 2017 onward.
“Crunchyroll is committed to making anime more accessible than ever and the launch of the Crunchyroll Channel on Samsung is another step towards ensuring we’re everywhere our fans want to enjoy their anime,” said Mitchel Berger, EVP of Global Commerce at Crunchyroll in a press release. “We’re excited to give fans, and those just discovering anime, a curated, always-on way to experience the stories and characters they love, right from their Samsung Smart TVs.”
Los Angeles-based Crunchyroll continues to explore new ways to introduce people to anime, most recently partnering with Delta Air Lines. With the global carrier, the company will offer a selection of series on seat-back entertainment systems, and access to over 25,000 hours of content on a limited trial for SkyMiles members using their mobile devices.
