The latest manga by Akira Himekawa is now available in paperback format according to North American publisher VIZ Media.

The artisan duo, famous for their work on The Legend of Zelda manga, also made an appearance at New York Comic Con this past weekend as part of an industry panel hosted by VIZ Media and to sign autographs.
Kamudo hit North American shelves on Tuesday, October 7th, 2025.
Initially announced in 2017, Kamudo was serialized by VIZ Media on their website in conjunction with Shogakukan’s own Sunday Webry platform.
VIZ Media provided brief write-up of Kamudo in a release:
In the utopian nation of Ryujinkyo, Kamuna—a boy born with the form of a human and the left hand of a dragon—grapples with his identity in a society that both questions and fears his existence. As he begins his training in the ancient art of ryuken, his determination to prove himself fuels a growing rivalry with the fierce demi-dragon Gindu. Akira Himekawa, the pen name of Japanese artists A. Honda and S. Nagano, have been drawing manga since 1987. Their first collaboration, Hiuri, was serialized in 1991 and followed by many more works, including The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in 1999, Astro Boy in 2003, Gold Ring in 2005, and Gliding Reki in 2007.
