Revisit Obito Uchiha’s story through a new JUMP MV music video set to the 16th opening theme of Naruto Shippuden.
KANA-BOON’s hit “Silhouette” plays over manga scenes that follow the elder Uchiha from his beginnings as a member of Team Minato through his journey to instigating the Fourth Great Ninja War.
Formed in 2006, KANA-BOON originally was comprised of lead vocalist and guitarist Maguro Taniguchi, guitarist Hayato Koga, drummer Takahiro Koizumi, and bassist Hiroaki Hirose — Yuuma Meshida would replace Hirose after he left. The band got their break in 2012 when they opened for ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION; then in 2014, received wider recognition when “Silhouette” was selected as the opening theme for Naruto Shippuden. Leading up the band’s re-alignment in 2023, their music has appeared in Boruto: Naruto the Movie (“Diver”), Boruto: Naruto Next Generations (“Baton Road”), Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans (“Fighter”), My Hero Academia (“Starmarker”), and Fire Force (“Torch of Liberty”).
The Shonen Jump YouTube channel is home to many other music videos from characters under the Jump imprint umbrella including Gintama, Haikyu!!, and My Hero Academia. Key scenes from the manga are animated in tune to music selected from their anime adaptations.
Naruto was created by Masashi Kishimoto and serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from September 21st, 1999 to November 10th, 2014. A sequel, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, is a collaboration between Kishimoto as writer and Mikio Ikemoto as illustrator, began serialization on May 9th, 2016 in Weekly Shonen Jump before transitioning to the monthly V Jump on July 20th, 2019. In North America, VIZ Media publishes the English-translated manga in print and digital formats.
