Remembrance Day 2025

Vancouver comes out in force for Remembrance Day

Vancouver’s Victory Square was packed as thousands turned up to honour Canada’s fallen soldiers for Remembrance Day.

As one of the largest ceremonies in the province, all branches of Canada’s armed forces, the RCMP, and local first responders were in attendance. This year’s schedule included renditions of O Canada, God Save The King, and The Maple Leaf Forever, a reading of the poem “Alone Without A Goodbye” by grade 12 student Angela Chen, the Prayer of Remembrance, and the stirring notes of “The Last Post,” “The Lament,” and “Rouse.” A lone RCAF CH-148 Cyclone helicopter roared overhead as a flypast, followed by the civilian Poppy Flight.

Lest we forget.
