My Hero Academia anime to celebrate 10th anniversary with new show, concert, and more for 2026

Jump Festa ’26 opened with My Hero Academia where the lead cast made an appearance to promote exciting new events coming in 2026 for the recently completed series.

Daiki Yamashita the voice of Izuku “Deku” Midoriya, Nobuhiko Okamoto the voice of Katsuki “Kacchan” Bakugo, Yuki Kaji the voice of Shoto Todoroki, Ayane Sakura the voice of Ochaco Uraraka, and Kenta Miyake the voice of All Might introduced themselves and began reminiscing over the broadcast of the final episode last week.

Despite the anime’s conclusion, there is a 10th anniversary project underway to animate an extra chapter, titled “More,” that appeared in the 42nd volume of My Hero Academia. It is scheduled to broadcast on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV stations across Japan.

Additionally, a special concert tour is being planned, first starting in Japan and then expanding internationally. The first concert will take place in Yokohama, Japan, on Saturday, May 30th, 2026. Further details are expected later.

The latest trailer for My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Season Two was then played for the audience ahead of its premiere on January 5th, 2026.

As is tradition, Daiki Yamashita read out a letter from creator Kohei Horikoshi in which he commented on the colder weather, anime finale, how he felt it was a much stronger ending than the manga, that My Hero Academia will continue and wished fans to stay warm and healthy this winter. Accompanying the letter was a new illustration of Deku, Bakugo, Ochaco, Shoto, and All Might in their older forms.
