Blossoms After Dark

David Lam Park lights up again with Blossoms After Dark this month

Take a stroll beneath a canopy of delicate cherry blossoms and lights this spring in the heart of Vancouver. Blossoms After Dark returns to David Lam Park on the evenings of Friday, March 27th, and Saturday, March 28th, 2026.

David Lam Park is home to over 100 Akebono cherry trees (also known as a Daybreak Cherry) which were planted by the city in 2010. These medium-sized trees generally bloom between late March and early April.

As part of the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival, Blossoms After Dark offers Vancouverites an opportunity to further enjoy the flowering trees well after sunlight has faded. In addition to the lit trees, there are live performances, artisans vendors, and food trucks.

This year, the event has grown to accommodate its increasing popularity to encompass the entire park, with more lights, vendors and a new Blossom Lounge.

Blossoms After Dark kicks off at 6:30 pm and runs until 10:00 pm on both evenings. It is free to attend and family-friendly. David Lam Park is located at 1300 Pacific Boulevard in Vancouver and is a less than 10 minute walk from the Yaletown-Roundhouse Station on the Canada Line.
