Japanese fast fashion brand Uniqlo has partnered with publishing conglomerate Shueisha to celebrate its 100th anniversary this year. To mark this momentous occasion, Uniqlo’s UT collection is adding tops from some of Shueisha’s biggest manga titles.
Three line-ups have been announced so far; the first being GANTZ, JUJUTSU KAISEN, HUNTER×HUNTER, Captain Tsubasa, Kingdom, Kinnikuman, KochiKame: Tokyo Beat Cops, Golden Kamuy, Saint Seiya, YuYu Hakusho, and Rurouni Kenshin.
The second in the collection include designs from Sakamoto Days, Chibi Maruko-chan, Coji-Coji, ONE PIECE, Naruto, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, and 【OSHI NO KO】.
A third collection is scheduled for release at a future date, but no details available at this time.
Uniqlo has a long-standing partnership with Shueisha through multiple collaborations over the years centred through its manga imprints, especially under its Jump magazines.
These tees will go on sale in Japan first before rolling out to Uniqlo locations, including those here in Canada.
Shueisha was founded on August 8th, 1926, and is based in Tokyo. Some of their popular manga magazines are Weekly Shonen Jump, Jump SQ., Weekly Young Jump, Ribon and Margaret.
