The Straw Hat Pirate’s adventure takes them out of East Blue and into the Grand Line for the live-action series’ second season. A new teaser trailer revealed the title as ONE PIECE: INTO THE GRAND LINE; it is scheduled to premiere in 2026 only on Netflix.
Also revealed in the trailer is that a third season was confirmed but without additional details.
Arcs anticipated for adaptation in the new season include Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island.
An exact release date for ONE PIECE: INTO THE GRAND LINE was not provided.
As one of Netflix’s hit shows, the first season of ONE PIECE, comprised of eight episodes, premiered on August 31st, 2023.
The main cast features Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji, and Mikaela Hoover as Tony Tony Chopper. The series is created in cooperation with Japanese publisher Shueisha, Tomorrow Studios and Netflix. Matt Owens and Joe Tracz serve as writers and showrunners, with Eiichiro Oda, Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements as executive producers.
A synopsis of ONE PIECE is described as:
It has always been Luffy’s dream to explore the ocean, but in order to do so, he needs a crew and a ship. With an appetite for treasure, Luffy’s vision becomes reality, but not always in his favour. The competition to locate the legendary One Piece is fierce and this small band of pirates must evade other corsairs, and of course, the relentless Marines…
First published in 1997, One Piece has accumulated 105 individual manga volumes, over 1,130 anime episodes, 15 feature films, the most recent being One Piece Film: Red, multiple video games, and a theme park in Japan. In North America, the One Piece anime streams on multiple platforms including Netflix, Crunchyroll, while VIZ Media publishes the print and digital versions of the manga.
