Swiss chocolatier opens Richmond location this summer

Things are about to get a little sweeter in Metro Vancouver at the end of this month when Läderach opens its first west coast store in Richmond.

Its website has confirmed the store is located inside CF Richmond Centre, 6551 Number 3 Road, in Richmond, BC.

The 63-year-old family-run chocolatier is known for its selection of high-end confectionery, including its famous FrischShoggi — slabs of unique creations made with fresh chocolate and a variety of fruits, nuts, and other ingredients. Also available are pralines, truffles, chocolate-covered popcorn, and liqueurs.

Based in the Swiss canton of Glarus, Läderach started serving selected shops within the Alpine nation before expanding across Europe, and then into North America and Asia. Two factories churn out tasty treats for its storefronts worldwide, over 200 of them, including a number of outlets here in Canada, centred around the Greater Toronto Area.
