Anime streaming giant Crunchyroll and global entertainment group HoYoverse are embarking on a new partnership to bring anime fans and players of the popular gatcha role-playing game Honkai: Star Rail closer together.

This collaboration will see eligible Honkai: Star Rail players receive a free 14-day trial of the Mega Fan tier through Crunchyroll by linking their game account (players must have an account on both Honkai: Star Rail and on Crunchyroll). In return, players can partake in new missions to watch Chimerric Park — a special animation premiering on Thursday, November 6^th, 2025 — exclusively for two weeks on Crunchyroll, and other in-game bonuses.

A schedule of how the quests and rewards will progress was provided in a press release:

• First Round
  Begins Thursday, November 6^th, 2025, 6:00 pm PST and ends Tuesday, November 25^th, 2025, 5:59 pm PST
• Second Round
  Begins Tuesday, November 25^th, 2025, 6:00 pm PST and ends Tuesday, December 16^th, 2025, 5:59 pm PST
• Third Round
  Begins Tuesday, December 16^th, 2025, 6:00 pm PST and ends Tuesday, January 6^th, 2026, 5:59 pm PST
• Fourth Round
  Begins Tuesday, January 6^th, 2026, 6:00 pm PST and ends Monday, January 27^th, 2026, 5:59 pm PST

This collaboration coincides with the release of Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.7 titled ‘As Tomorrow Became Yesterday’, which includes the first appearance of Cyrene, a new playable character.

In press release, Terry Li, Executive Vice President of Emerging Business, Crunchyroll, was quoted as saying: “We know that nearly 80% of anime fans play anime or anime-related games, and 40% of our audience are playing pop culture defining games like Honkai: Star Rail more than 20 hours a week. Delivering in-game rewards to Crunchyroll Members is our way of enhancing their gaming experiences and creating compelling moments to jump into titles that speak to our fans.”

Described as a worldwide event, this collaboration is only available to gamers outside of China, Japan, Russia, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, Belarus, Iran, Syria, and Ukrainian regions of Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk.

Honkai: Star Rail is a free-to-play space fantasy role-playing game where players take on the role of a “Trailblazer” and explore the galaxy riding the Astral Express. Developed by HoYoverse, the game is available on Windows, iOS, Android, and PlayStation 5.
