With a little over a month to go before season six of the My Hero Academia airs, we now know which songs will play during the opening and closing of the anime thanks to the series’ official Twitter account.

The new season, which begins on October 1st, 2022, will feature the song “Dedicated” by J-rock band SUPER BEAVER as the opening theme, with “SKETCH” by J-pop artist Kiro Akiyama playing over the end credits.

SUPER BEAVER was formed in 2005 and their line-up is comprised of bassist Kenta Uesugi, drummer Fujiwara Hiroaki, vocalist Shibuya Ryuuta and guitarist Ryota Yanagisawa. The songs “Deep Breath” was used as an ending theme for Naruto Shippuden and “Likeness” as the opening to Barakamon.

Kiro Akiyama was born in 1996 and learned to play bass in high school, citing the anime K-ON! as his inspiration. His song “Identity” appeared in the second season of The Promised Neverland as the opening.

Fans looking to pick-up the songs can do so in November 2022 — “SKETCH” releases as a single on November 23rd followed by “Dedicated” on November 30th.

Crunchyroll will stream new episodes of My Hero Academia shortly after they broadcast in Japan each Saturday evening.
