Funimation has announced they will begin streaming Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon on Saturday, October 3rd, 2020.
Additionally, the US-based media service will carry the first 54 episodes of Inuyasha starting Tuesday, September 29th, 2020. This includes the four feature films Inuyasha the Movie: Affections Touching Across Time, Inuyasha the Movie 2: The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass, Inuyasha the Movie 3: Swords of an Honorable Ruler and Inuyasha the Movie 4: Fire On the Mystic Island.
Yashahime is the follow-up series to Inuyasha, based on the manga of the same name by Rumiko Takahashi. Takahashi is involved with the character designs in Yashahime.
Recently, it was announced that Japanese pop band SixTONES will have their song “New Era” used as the opening theme to the anime.
Viz Media acquired the rights for distribution of Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon in the North and Latin American markets in May of this year.
