During PlayStation’s State of Play event, Square Enix announced that an enhanced version of last year’s release of Final Fantasy VII Remake is coming to the PS5 on June 10th, 2021.

Titled Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, this version includes a number of new features and content. Graphics Mode allows players to switch between 4K output (assuming they have a supported display) to view the rich details of Midgar and Performance Mode for catching those sweet battle sequences in a fluid 60 FPS. Thieving ninja Yuffie Kisaragi gets her own dedicated quest adding to the existing game’s story.

PS4 owners can upgrade and transfer their save game data without having to start over; though Yuffie’s adventure requires a separate purchase. PS4 disc owners can update if their PS5 has a disc drive in the console.

And for fans who don’t have everything, there’s a deluxe edition on the way, which packs in a digital artbook and soundtrack from the game.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is an overhauled release of the original Final Fantasy VII from 1997 on the PlayStation.
