Goku returns to the skies of Manhattan for the 95th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, November 25th, 2021.

Based on his Super Saiyan Blue form that was first shown in the 2015 movie Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’, Goku will join other pop culture balloons including Pokémon‘s Pikachu, Sonic the Hedgehog, police dog Chase from PAW Patrol, and the squishable Pillsbury Doughboy among the floats.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, which begins broadcast at 9:00 am EST and PST will see this colourful exhibition float down Central Park West and Sixth Avenue towards Macy’s Herald Square in midtown Manhattan.

According to the official parade web site, the Goku balloon is 56 feet (17 meters) tall, 70 feet (21 meters) long and 36 feet (11 meters) wide.

Goku wasn’t present at last year’s parade due to a scaled back route and selection of displays and participants because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

NBC holds the exclusive broadcast rights to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, so it’s best to watch on an affiliated station. For Dragon Ball fans in Vancouver eager for a glimpse, the best chance to see Goku is on Seattle’s KING5.
