Despite logistical issues, chip shortages and an ongoing pandemic, the Nintendo Switch has overcome all these hurdles, selling 1.13 million units of the original, Switch Lite and OLED models in the United States for November 2021.

That’s according to a press release from Nintendo using data compiled by the NPD Group, a US-based market research company. Nearly half of the consoles purchased last month was in the week leading up to Black Friday on November 26th.

The press release from Nintendo added that the Switch family of systems has been leading video game console sales for 35 out of 36 months.

The Nintendo Switch, which launched on March 3rd, 2017, is still going strong with three models now available — the original Switch console, the smaller Switch Lite, and the recently released OLED version (pictured at top) that features a bigger screen — and a large library of games which also come to include popular Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis titles.
