Caution: may contain spoilers

Set as the sequel to the 2017 title The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Hyrule is slowly recovering. The landscape has changed with floating islands hovering above and new monsters under the control of a familiar foe have emerged.

Link will get to traverse the same fields, mountains and deserts from Breath of the Wild, but filled with new challenges. Massive sinkholes in the Gerudo Desert. Moblins have built platforms atop a Stone Talus to create an unstoppable adversary. With new abilities, Link can assemble a horse-drawn cart, animate large objects and rapidly rise to the islands in the sky. Princess Zelda plays a more integral part, as do allies from the Gerudo, Goron, Rito and Zora races. And it’s not complete with the return of Hyrule’s nemesis: Ganondorf!
