English voice cast revealed for the upcoming Slime movie

Ahead of the May 1st, 2026 North American premiere of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea, Crunchyroll, in partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment, has announced an English dub for the animated feature.

The English voice cast features:

  • Ryan Reynolds as the voice of Gobta
  • Brittney Karbowski as the voice of Rimuru Tempest
  • Christopher Corey Smith as the voice of Zodon
  • Yuri Lowenthal as the voice of Djeese
  • Michelle Rojas as the voice of Shion
  • Tia Ballard as the voice of Shuna
  • Amber Lee Connors as the voice of Elmesia
  • Lucien Dodge as the voice of Lete
  • Jad Zaxton as the voice of Ramiris
  • Chris Rager as the voice of Veldora
  • Jill Harris as the voice of Luminus
  • Natalie Van Sistine as the voice of Mio
  • Marianne Bray as the voice of Yori

Canadian chains Cineplex and Landmark Cinemas will screen the movie in Japanese with English subtitles alongside the English dub.

Fans can catch an exclusive 10‑minute preview of the upcoming film, available only during a special one‑day screening of the 2023 release That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Scarlet Bond in theatres on Monday, April 20th, 2026.

After concluding the opening ceremony of the Demon Kingdom Federation Tempest, Rimuru and his companions are invited by the Celestial Emperor Elmesia of the great elven nation – the Magi Dynasty Thalion – to visit her private resort island. As the group enjoys their brief vacation, a mysterious woman named Yura appears. A new incident unfolds against the backdrop of the boundless azure sea.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea, directed by Yasuhito Kikuchi, with a screenplay written by Yasuhito Kikuchi and Toshizo Nemoto, based on a story by Fuse, and animation production by Eightbit, opened in Japanese theatres on Friday, February 27th, 2026.
