The zombie apocalypse is upon us! Get ready for a wild adventure as Crunchyroll has secured the streaming rights to Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead, bringing the weekly simulcast of the horror comedy to their platform at 2:00 am PDT (5:00 am EDT) on Sunday, July 9th, 2023.

Akira Tendo is done with life, burnt out from work, he wants to do nothing ever again. Then Japan falls to a zombie apocalypse where hundreds of undead figures converge upon the island nation, forcing Akira to create a list of things to do before he succumbs to this hellish end.

Working on Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead are director Kazuki Kawagoe, with series composition by Hiroshi Seko, and animation production by BUG FILMS. Japanese rock band KANA-BOON performs the opening theme “Song of the Dead”, while “Happiness of the Dead” by Shiyui closes out the show.

Crunchyroll will broadcast Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead in Japanese with subtitles in English, French, German, Italian, Castilian Spanish, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Hindi, Russian, and Arabic; dubs in English, French, German, Italian, Castilian Spanish, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Hindi are scheduled for a later date.

The Japanese voice cast features:

  • Shuichiro Umeda as Akira Tendo
  • Tomori Kusunoki as Shizuka Mikazuki
  • Makoto Furukawa as Kenichiro Ryuzaki/Kencho
  • Minami Takahashi as Beatrix Amerhauser

Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead is written by Haro Aso and illustrated by Kotaro Takata, and serialized Shogakukan’s Monthly Sunday Gene-X, while Viz Media publishes the English-translated versions in digital and print for the North American market.
