Eating from a truck these days is becoming the norm in Vancouver. But, with so many trucks spread throughout the city, it’s hard to visit them all. Enter Food Cart Fest, a gathering of the city’s best trucks in one location to satisfy whatever you may be craving — sweet, spicy, cheesy or savoury.

Upwards of 20 mobile kitchens will occupy the space between the Cambie Street Bridge and Olympic Village (215 W 1st Ave, to be exact) on the south side of False Creek. Getting there is easy with the Olympic Village Canada Line station just a brisk stroll away, by bus or Aquabus.
Food Cart Fest recurs every Sunday between 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm this summer starting June 22nd, 2014. Admission is $2.00, but it’s free if you bank with Vancity or are a member of Car2Go or bring a non-perishable food item for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society (or if you’re under the age of 13).
