Anime streaming giant Crunchyroll has announced they will begin carrying the dark fantasy series Jujutsu Kaisen in October 2020.

Yuji Itadori looks like an average high school student, but his inhuman strength hides within his adolescent body. In a world permeated by Curses, manifestations of negative thoughts and emotions, Yuji finds himself enthralled by them and attends an occult club at school. To save a friend who is besieged by these Curses, Yuji eats the desiccated finger of a long dead specter, only to have it inhabit his body. With his new found powers, Yuji is accepted into the Tokyo Metropolitan Technical High School of Sorcery to begin fighting these Curses and to save his own life.

Anime studio MAPPA is handling production of Jujutsu Kaisen under supervision of director Sunghoo Park. Both Park and MAPPA worked together on the Crunchyroll Original series The God of High School.

Jujutsu Kaisen is based off the manga of the same name by Gege Akutami, which was first published in 2018 and is available in North America from Viz Media.
