Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime getting second season this year

A second season of the anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is coming in 2021 according to a post this morning on social media by the animation studio ufotable.

The tweet included artwork of the Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui and according to Crunchyroll, takes place after the events of the film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Movie: Mugen Train and is set in the Yoshiwara red-light district.

A trailer was also released on the anime’s official web site, but is restricted to viewers in Japan at this time.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is an anime adaptation of the manga of the same name by Koyoharu Gotouge. A film, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Movie: Mugen Train, was released late last year which steamed to the number one place in Japan.
