The TV Tokyo website for Boruto: Naruto Next Generations has announced the music being used for the opening and closing themes, which will appear in episodes starting this July.
The song “My Warrior” by CHiCO with HoneyWorks was selected as the opening for Boruto. Vocalist CHiCO has partnered with the Vocaloid orchestra HoneyWorks to create this new piece. According to the website, CHiCO has stated she is a long time fan of the Naruto series and is happy to be a part of it with Boruto. The single “The World has fallen in Love” has surpassed 65 million views on YouTube, while her work has 300 million views total.
Rock band PELICAN FANCLUB had their song “Who are you?” chosen to close out Boruto. The three-piece band has also had their music used in the anime Dr. STONE and Fire Force. In a brief statement posted on the TV Tokyo website, guitarist and vocalist Endo Anri explained he has always wanted to make music for an anime and is honoured to be working on Boruto. Along with Endo Anri, the line-up for PELICAN FANCLUB includes bassist Kamiyama Ryotatsu and drummer Shimizu Hirofumi.
Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is the anime adaptation of the manga written by Ukyo Kodachi and Masashi Kishimoto, and illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto.
