J-pop band JO1 song chosen for Boruto ending this october

TV Tokyo has revealed that the song “Prologue” by Japanese boy band JO1 was selected as the ending theme which will appear in the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime airing on October 10th, 2021.

JO1 is made up of eleven members with Shosei Ohira, Ren Kawashiri, Takumi Kawanishi, Syoya Kimata, Sukai Kinjo, Junki Kono, Keigo Sato, Ruki Shiroiwa, Shio Tsurubo, Issei Mamehara, and Sho Yonashiro. According to Sho Yonashiro, who leads the band, a statement posted both on TV Tokyo’s and the JO1’s web sites Yonashiro gives thanks for the opportunity and shares the group’s delight to appear in the show. He goes onto mention that “Prologue” shares the challenges and friendship featured in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.

“Prologue” becomes available for purchase digitally on October 11th, 2021.
