Following a three-year-eleven-month hiatus, Hunter × Hunter is returning to the pages of the 47th edition of Weekly Shonen Jump on October 24th, 2022 according to Japanese pop culture website Natalie.
Creator Yoshihiro Togashi has regularly shared random photos of rough sketches and edges of papers he’s been working on to his Twitter account as fans have wondered when the series will pick back up. Hunter × Hunter has intermittently gone on and of hiatus over the past decade.
Hunter × Hunter first appeared in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on March 16th, 1998 and has 36 individual volumes published so far. In North America, Viz Media publishes the English-translated version in both print and digital formats.
