We all know Tuesdays are generally cheaper when going to the movies, but Cineplex is taking that a step further with $5 movie tickets and $5 small popcorn on every Tuesday in February.
According to a press release put out by the theatre chain, the last time movie tickets cost this little was back in 1999 when Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace, The Sixth Sense, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, Toy Story 2 and The Matrix were all on the big screen.
Looking for an excuse to a night out? Studio Ghibli’s The Boy and the Heron is still playing, plus anime fans can look forward to Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Hashira Training- when it arrives later this month.
General admission prices are listed at $5 plus tax when purchased in-person at the theatre (excluding any premium or special events); tickets bought online are subject to a $1.50 fee per ticket, the subject of which is part of an ongoing allegation of price dripping. The $5 small popcorn offer is not available to mobile or delivery orders.
