Blue Exorcist manga to enter four month break

Kazue Kato’s Blue Exorcist manga will undergo a four‑month hiatus starting with the April issue of Jump Square, releasing Wednesday, March 4th, 2026.

Translated, the social media posts reads “starting from the Jump SQ. April issue, Blue Exorcist will be on hiatus for four issues.” It goes on to apologize to the readers who were expecting to read it and that the manga will resume in the August issue. The statement concludes with a thank you to the readers for their understanding.

The manga resumes in the August issue which goes on sale Friday, July 3rd, 2026.

The news comes as the story of Rin and Yukio Okumura enter its final chapters. A synopsis describes Blue Exorcist:

Brothers Rin and Yukio Okumura were raised as orphans, not knowing who their true father is, until their foster father reveals they are the sons of Satan. Together, they enroll at True Cross Academy to become exorcists in hopes they can eradicate the devil and save themselves.

Blue Exorcist entered serialization in Jump Square on April 4th, 2009. In Canada, the English-translated manga is offered by VIZ Media in both print and digital formats, including the Shonen Jump app and Manga Plus.
