There’s only a few weeks before Canada’s 145th birthday! Canada Day falls on a Sunday this year and with plenty of events throughout the Lower Mainland, it should be a great day to celebrate.

  • Canada Day at Canada Place – Canada Place, Vancouver from 10:00 am – 11:00 pm PDT
    Parades, concerts, Canadian Forces displays, a citizenship ceremony and fireworks in Burrard Inlet.
  • Canada Day – Granville Island during market hours; 9:00 am – 7:00 pm PDT
    Live music and other family-friendly activities.
  • North Vancouver Canada Day Celebrations – Waterfront Park, North Vancouver from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm PDT
    Parades, family-friendly activities, music and more.
  • Steveston Salmon Festival – Steveston, Richmond from 6:30 am – 5:00 pm PDT
    Pancake breakfast, parades, salmon barbecue, cultural displays and carnival rides.
  • Canada Day – Castle Park, Port Coquitlam from 12:00 pm – 10:00 pm PDT
    Cake, music, cultural bazaar and show case, along with fireworks.

This is just a small list of everything that’s planned for the long weekend, so be sure to consult your local community calendar for an event nearest you.
