Now that Rin Okumura can keep his blue flames in check, he faces off against the Impure King. On top of that, Rin’s friends are threatened by the demon’s miasma — increasing the stakes in the battle.
After the fight, the students learn that there’s a Kraken on the loose, and make a detour to track down the legendary sea creature. Unfortunately, Rin, his brother Yukio Okumura and friend Shiemi Moriyama wind up marooned on an empty island. How will the students of the True Cross Academy escape this dire situation?
