To those who live along the Fraser River have cultivated some of the best agricultural land in the province. Plump berries, sparkling wines and tender meats are just some of what will be showcased at the 6th annual Fraser Valley Food Show.

The Great Canadian Sausage-Making Competition will make its second appearance this year. Taking time-tested techniques, the contests must win over the judges with their creations in a number of categories including: kielbasa, Italian, farmer and chorizo. Visitors can sample these sausages which includes a glass of Erdinger Gluten-Free beer (must be over 19 years of age for the beer).

Local eateries will be present in Bite of the Valley, with tapas-style dishes available for purchase using the shows own tasting tickets. Don’t forget to check out the Master Chef Competition where some of British Columbia’s best chefs battle it out in an Iron Chef-style contest for the chance to be called “Master.”

The Fraser Valley Food Show will be held over a three-day weekend; Friday, October 4th from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Saturday, October 5th from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm and on Sunday, October 6th from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm.
