Unveiled today, the trio starting Pokémon in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon are Rowlet, Litten and Popplio. Selected at the beginning of the in-game journey, they become the core part of the player’s team and evolve into more than fighting creature.
First up is Rowlet, a grass quill Pokémon, weighing in at 3.3 lbs and a height of one foot. Rowlet is a combination grass and flying type with the overgrow ability.
Next is Litten, a fire cat Pokémon. At 9.5 lbs, Litten is heavier than Rowlet, but only four inches taller. As a fire type, Litten’s fur is saturated in flammable oil which it can lick and spit fireballs with.
Finally there’s the sea lion Pokémon, Popplio. While Popplio is the same height as Litten, it is the heaviest of the three at 16.5 lbs. Despite that, the water type is very flexible and acrobatic creating water balloons for both battle and fun.
Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon hits store shelves November 18th, 2016 for the Nintendo 3DS handheld console.
