For the first time, Hatsune Miku will visit Vancouver for Miku Expo on Saturday, April 4th, 2020 at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre in Vancouver, BC. However, on the evening of Friday, April 3rd, 2020, fans can watch Hatsune Miku from the Magical Mirai 2019 concert at the Nikkei National Museum and Cultural Centre in Burnaby, BC.
Miku’s appearance at the O Hanami Eve event is part of a collaboration with the centre, which hosts their spring festival, O Hanami, on the following Saturday. In addition to the performance, there’s a MIKU EXPO LET’S PAINT 2.0 workshop and Mini Digital Stars (live music), along with official Hatsune Miku merchandise for purchase, and a free giveaway!
Attendance to O Hanami Eve costs $5.00 CAD (free for members), and doors are open 6:00 pm thru 10:00 pm PDT. The Nikkei National Museum and Cultural Centre is located at 6688 Southoaks Crescent, Burnaby.
