The film My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising is going strong in theatres across Canada and the United States since its release on Wednesday, February 26th, 2020.

In Canada, Cineplex is screening the movie at select locations, both in Japanese with English subtitles, and dubbed in English.

The second film based on the anime version of Kohei Horikoshi’s manga follows a separate story-line. The students of U.A. High School class 1-A have been tasked to support the remote Nabu Island which lacks a pro-hero. While assisting the island’s residents, a new evildoer working under the League of Villains is absorbing quirks, and discovers the one he needs the most is on Nabu Island. In their toughest fight yet, Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo must set aside their differences to protect themselves and the islanders.

Funimation is handling the distribution of the film directed by Kenji Nagasaki in North America.

My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising opened in Japanese theatres on Friday, December 20th, 2019.
