This morning, the Entertainment Software Association announced that E3 2020 has been cancelled according to a statement posted on their web site and over social media.

The decision to cancel was made over concerns for the safety and well-being of staff, vendors and attendees due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

The multi-day event hosts the biggest names in video gaming, including Nintendo, Microsoft, EA, Square Enix, Ubisoft, and more, at the Los Angeles Convention Center. This year, the expo was scheduled for June 9th thru 11th, 2020.

Microsoft is looking at moving their events online, with a schedule being shared over the coming weeks.

E3 is joining other companies and organizations that are postponing or outright cancelling events and services due to this viral outbreak.

Visit the World Health Organization web site for information on how to safeguard yourself against COVID-19.
