Stage plays for Naruto, My Hero Academia and Sailor Moon stream online this August

Over the last few years, three popular anime series, Naruto, My Hero Academia, and Sailor Moon, have been adapted into live stage performances in Japan. Now fans in Canada, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Singapore can watch them online during the month of August.

The three shows will stream in Japanese with English subtitles on specific dates, with videos being available for 24 hours after their scheduled times:

  • Live Spectacle “NARUTO” runs August 6th thru August 12th, 2021
  • My Hero Academia The “Ultra” Stage runs August 13th thru August 19th, 2021
  • Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon: The Musical Nogizaka46 ver. 2019 runs August 20th thru August 26th, 2021

Tickets for each showing cost $15.00 USD (about $18.75 CAD with the exchange rate).

Each performance is a live-action retelling of the stories from the Naruto, My Hero Academia and Sailor Moon manga and anime called 2.5D musicals. According to the Japan 2.5D Stage Play World website, some 2.5 million people attend these shows in theatres across Japan each year.
