This afternoon, the Fortnite official Twitter account announced that content involving the orange-clad ninja is on their way to the online battle royale game on Tuesday, November 16th, 2021.

Details of the collaboration involving Naruto Shippuden were scant, but it’s expected to include custom skins, weapons and possible appearances from the anime’s vast cast of characters.

Naruto Shippuden is the anime adaptation of time-skipped second-half of the manga Naruto by Masashi Kishimoto, following the journey of the young shinobi Naruto Uzumaki in his quest to become the hokage of his village. Naruto celebrated the 20th anniversary of the manga in 2019; the anime reaches this milestone next year in 2022.

Fortnite is a cross-platform battle game where players duke it out with up to a hundred other people on their own or together in teams. Various modes of gameplay include survival, co-operative and sandbox, the latter being where one can control and place the items in the arena before using them in a match.

Developed and published by Epic Games, Fortnite is available on PC, PS4/5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and Android devices.
