Blue Exorcist manga break to end in May

Last July, Japanese monthly manga magazine Jump Square (or Jump SQ) announced that publication of Blue Exorcist by Kazue Kato would go on hiatus after their September 2021 issue and return in the May 2022 edition.

Translated, the tweet reads that “…from the September issue of Jump SQ onward, Blue Exorcist will be suspended. We apologize to the fans who read it every month. The return of Blue Exorcist is scheduled for the May issue next year and look forward to your continued support.”

Blue Exorcist, is a staple of Shueisha’s Jump Square, since 2009, with 27 individual volumes publishes. Viz Media publishes the English translated version in North America; the 27th volume will release on May 3rd, 2022.

Brothers Rin and Yukio Okumura were raised as orphans, not knowing who their true father is, until their foster father reveals they are the sons of Satan. Together, they enroll at True Cross Academy to become exorcists in hopes they can eradicate the devil and save themselves.
