The fans have spoken! Now that the votes have been tallied, the results of the sixth annual Crunchyroll Anime Awards are here. Attack on Titan Final Season Part 1, Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- and Jujutsu Kaisen all scored multiple wins; however it was Attack on Titan Final Season Part 1 that claimed the title of Anime of the Year.

In a press release from Crunchyroll, some 17 million ballots were submitted globally between January 18th and 25th, 2022, with, in alphabetic order, Brazil, France, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the United States leading high in participation, followed by Argentina, Canada, Chile, Germany and India.

Each winner was selected by the fans and judges — with, according to the Crunchyroll web site, a 70/30 weighted split between the judges and fans; judges can break a tie if one is reached.

2022 gave fans new categories in which to vote, including the addition of voice actors for German, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Castilian Spanish, and Russian languages.
