Following a two-year hiatus, the Honda Celebration of Light is back to brighten up Vancouver’s English Bay for three fun pyrotechnical-filled evenings this July.

Japan’s Akariya Fireworks (2017 display pictured at top) kicks off the first night on Saturday, July 23rd, 2022, followed by the Canadians with a performance by Midnight Sun Fireworks on Wednesday, July 27th, 2022, and finally, the Spanish company Pirotecnia Zaragozana on Saturday, July 30th, 2022. Each show is approximately 25 minutes long and synchronized to music.

Seating on the beach is free (get there early, space goes quickly, especially on a Saturday), while open air lounges by the Inukshuk and bleachers at the English Bay Bathhouse require paid reservation in advance. All three shows start promptly at 10:00 pm PDT, but there’s plenty of live music and entertainment leading up to the fireworks.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Honda Celebration of Light, so keep an eye out for special performances on each day.
