This is why I arrive early at the theatre. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it!

Thanks to Toei Animation’s Instagram account, the dates are now set for a live symphony orchestra performing music from Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z set to scenes from the anime on a Spirit Bomb-sized screen.

Five concerts are scheduled for Canada’s three largest cities: May 24th and 25th, 2023 at Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier in Montreal, June 9th and 10th, 2023 at the Meridian Hall in Toronto, and August 25th, 2023 at the Orpheum here in Vancouver.

Fans can look forward to a guest appearance by Hiroki Takahashi who sang the original opening theme to Dragon Ball: “Makafushigi Adventure!” in the 1980s. Takahashi will also perform songs from Dragon Ball Z including “Cha-La Head-Cha-La”, “We Gotta Power” and “Unmei no Hi ~Tamashii VS Tamashii~”, according to the website of Overlook Events.

Pre-sale of the tickets start on Monday, November 28th, 2022 before general sales begin on Friday, December 2nd, 2022.

The Dragon Ball Symphonic Adventure first began touring the United States in 2020 but was then cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
