There’s only a month before the second season of Tokyo Revengers begins airing and it’s official that these new episodes will begin streaming globally on Disney Plus.

The second season of Tokyo Revengers focuses on the Holy Night Battle story arc adapted from the manga of the same name by Ken Wakui.

Pop culture web site Comicbook.com reported this news from the official Disney Plus Japan twitter account.

Translated, the post reads “Disney announces expansion of strategic collaboration with Kodansha, including distribution of animation works!
Tokyo Revengers Holy Night Decisive Battle” in January 2023 with worldwide exclusive video distribution (SVOD). In the future, we plan to distribute animations based on popular manga created by Kodansha on Disney Plus!”

The way the tweet was worded makes it seems like other Kodansha titles could end up on Disney Plus, including series like Attack on Titan and Blue Lock.

As a result of Disney acquiring the streaming rights to Tokyo Revengers, the previous season’s episodes was removed from Crunchyroll. The House of Mouse has been slowly purchasing streaming licenses for anime series exclusive to their Disney Plus and Hulu platforms.

Tokyo Revengers, written and illustrated by Ken Wakui, was serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine and is published in omnibus format by Seven Seas Entertainment in North America.
