At the midway point of the sixth season of My Hero Academia, two new songs have been selected for the opening and closing themes: “Our” by Eve and “Kita Kaze” by SIX LOUNGE.

According to the official My Hero Academia web site, Eve explains the basis of the song “Our” is to “…inspire battered heroes,” as evidenced by the imagery of Izuku “Deku” Midoriya going rogue. Eve has over 4.2 million subscribers on his YouTube, with the song “Kaikai Kitan” used as the first opening in Jujutsu Kaisen, being streamed over 300 million times! “Our” becomes available on Sunday, January 8th, 2023.

SIX LOUNGE was founded in 2012 with drummer Nagamatsu Shintaro, guitarist and vocalist Yamaguchi Koumori, and bassist Iwao Riku. A statement by the band describes the song as a “…gentle wind to blow as he [Deku] grew up and became even stronger.” Streaming services will offer “Kita Kaze” on Sunday, January 8th, 2023.

Aspiring heroes can catch the latest episodes of My Hero Academia with the new songs every Saturday on Crunchyroll. Season six began on Saturday, October 1st, 2022.
