Black Clover movie coming to Netflix at the end of March

Asta and the Black Bulls are starring in their first feature film titled Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King which premieres in Japan and worldwide on Netflix on March 31st, 2023.

Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King will cover the story of the Wizard King, one that is not told in the manga. Creator Yuki Tabata is involved with the movie, with Ayataka Tanemura serving as director, and a screenplay written by Johnny Onda and Ai Orii.

The cast who appeared on the anime will reprise their roles:

  • Gakuto Kajiwara as Asta
  • Nobunaga Shimazaki as Yuno Grinberryall
  • Kana Yuuki as Noelle Silva
  • Jun’ichi Suwabe as Yami Sukehiro
  • Toshihiko Seki as Conrad Leto
  • Marie Iitoyo as Milly Maxwell

This is a unique distribution as the movie will hit theatres in Japan at the same time as being available around the world for streaming on Netflix.

Black Clover is written and illustrated by Yuki Tabata, first appearing in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump on February 16th, 2015. In North America, Viz Media handles the publication of the English-translated version in both digital and physical formats.
