Celebrity guests to appear on Crunchyroll Anime Awards event in March

With just over two weeks before the winners of the seventh annual Anime Awards are announced, Crunchyroll has revealed the names of special guests appearing in Tokyo for the March 4th, 2023 event.

Guest presenters include sports stars, actors and actresses, movie directors, and live streamers.

  • Aidan Hutchinson, defensive end for the Detroit Lions.
  • Finn Wolfhard, actor, musician and director.
  • Hunter Schafer, actress and artist.
  • Jacob Bertrand, actor.
  • Juju Smith-Schuster, wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs.
  • Robert Rodriguez, director, screenwriter, producer, cinematographer, editor and composer.
  • Zelina Vega, actress and pro-wrestler with WWE.
  • Sykkuno, live streamer on YouTube.
  • Valkyrae, live streamer on YouTube and co-owner of eSports company 100 Theives.

The Anime Awards are being held at the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa in Tokyo, Japan and will stream live worldwide on Crunchyroll’s YouTube and Twitch channels at 6:30 pm JST (1:30 am PST / 4:30 am EST). The special guests will appear alongside hosts Sally Amaki and Jon Kabira.

This year, nominees for the Anime Awards came from over 30 anime studios, more than 50 series and films, and 50-plus voice actors and actresses. Voting concluded on January 26th, 2023.
